info

Non-Signature explored anonymity and absence as the ultimate markers of identity. Rather than showcasing logos or over branding, the campaign highlighted raw material, craft, and form. Models were often obscured or absent, with the camera focused on folds, textures, and shadow. Released as a hybrid between art exhibition and fashion campaign, “Non-Signature” reinforced Bottega Veneta’s position as the house that speaks through silence.

Approach

The campaign staged a series of stripped-back environments — blank studios, architectural voids, and unmarked surfaces — where objects and garments were photographed in isolation. Film sequences leaned on ambient sound and minimal movement, heightening tactility and presence through restraint. By refusing spectacle, A–M elevated the ordinary to extraordinary, making absence the most powerful narrative device.

Outcome

“Non-Signature” was released through The Gentlewoman, Wallpaper*, and Another, with editorial spreads treated like curatorial essays. Outdoor placements in Milan and Berlin featured nothing but Bottega’s signature green paired with abstract tactile imagery, sparking discussion across fashion press for its refusal to advertise in conventional terms. The campaign generated strong cultural resonance, positioning Bottega Veneta as a house defined by authenticity and intellectual rigor.
